Malaysia juga super cocok untuk kamu yang baru memulai menjelajah ke luar neger. Nilai mata uangnya tidak begitu jauh dari rupiah, jadi tidak terlalu berisiko. Misal ketika kita melakukan kesalahan seperti ketinggalan transportasi dan lupa membawa salah satu barang penting, budget masih tetap masuk kategori aman, walaupun tetap ada ruginya yaa. But that's okay, sedikit kecerobohan dalam setiap perjalanan adalah "seni" nya.

Why did you choose Malaysia? Isn't it just the same as Indonesia? Every place has its own uniqueness. During my trip, I discovered many new things. Malaysia is also super suitable for those of you who are just starting to explore abroad. The currency value is not so far from the rupiah, so it's not too risky. For example, when we make mistakes such as missing transportation and forgetting to bring one of the important items, the budget is still in the safe category, although there is still a loss. But that's okay, a little carelessness in every trip is its “art”.

Sebelum berangkat, aku terbiasa research mendalam tentang tempat yang akan dikunjungi. Sampai akhirnya, aku bisa menemukan tempat-tempat hidden gems yang unik dan belum banyak dikunjungi oleh seorang "tourist", but definitely visited by a “traveler”. Sekilas seperti sama, tapi seorang tourist dan traveler memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda, and I am the traveler :).

Before leaving, I used to do in-depth research about the place I was going to visit. Until finally, I can find hidden gems that are unique and not much visited by a “tourist”, but definitely visited by a “traveler”. At first glance, they are the same, but a tourist and a traveler have different characteristics, and I am the traveler :).

So, let's explore Kuala Lumpur! Here are the places you should visit :)

Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC)

Yap, tempat ini memang selalu ramai wisatawan. Sangat wajar karena KLCC adalah tempat untuk menyaksikan langsung icon dari negeri ini. Sedikit tips, untuk menghindari keramaian yang terlalu sesak, coba jalan menuju belakang mall sampai bertemu taman dengan rerumputan, pepohonan dan orang-orang yang sedang olahraga lari. Nah di area ini tidak terlalu padat, so that you can take better pictures dan menikmati suasana sekitar yang lebih tenang.

Yep, this place is always crowded with tourists. It's natural because KLCC is the place to witness the icon of this country. A little tip, to avoid the crowds, try to walk towards the back of the mall until you meet a park with grass, trees and people who are running. This area is less crowded, so that you can take better pictures and enjoy the quieter surroundings.

Chinatown

Chinatown super cocok untuk kamu yang mau belanja sambil kulineran, di area ini super lengkap! Berbagai souvenir khas bisa kamu temukan disini, walaupun selalu ramai wisatawan, harga-harga yang ditawarkan tetap masuk dalam kategori aman yaa. I really like the atmosphere around here, terutama di area Pataling Street.

Chinatown is super suitable for you who want to shop while culinary, in this area is super complete! Various typical souvenirs can be found here, although it is always crowded with tourists, the prices offered are still in the safe category. I really like the atmosphere around here, especially in the Pataling Street area.

BookXcess RexKL

Let's move on to one of the most unique hidden gems! BookXcess masih berada di area Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur. Lebih tepatnya, BookXcess terletak di lantai 2 RexKL, Jalan Sultan, yang merupakan bagian dari kawasan Petaling Street Chinatown. Nah, toko buku ini dikenal dengan desainnya yang unik menyerupai labirin. Desrinasi populer untuk para pecinta buku dengan spot foto yang menarik.

Let's move on to one of the most unique hidden gems! BookXcess is still in the Chinatown area of Kuala Lumpur. More precisely, BookXcess is located on the 2nd floor of RexKL, Jalan Sultan, which is part of the Petaling Street Chinatown area. Well, this bookstore is known for its unique maze-like design. A popular destination for book lovers with interesting photo spots.

Bukit Bintang

Bukit Bintang menawarkan berbagai pusat perbelanjaan, deretan kafe, restoran, dan bar yang menjadikannya tempat favorit bagi wisatawan. Suasana malam disini juga sangat cantik dan selalu ramai pengunjung. FYI, aku memilih untuk menginap di area sini. Banyak pilihan penginapan dengan harga terjangkau!

Bukit Bintang offers a variety of shopping malls, cafes, restaurants and bars that make it a favorite spot for tourists. The night atmosphere here is also very pretty and always crowded. FYI, I chose to stay in this area. Lots of affordable lodging options!

Alor Street Food

Masih di area bukit bintang, Alor Street Food is a culinary place you must visit! Alor menawarkan pengalaman kuliner yang otentik dengan deretan gerai makanan yang menjajakan hidangan khas Malaysia, Tionghoa, dan Asia lainnya. Kalau kamu seorang muslim, jangan lupa untuk tetap hati-hati dengan menu non halal yaa. Aku coba beberapa pilihan makanan disini, seperti durian musang king, mie khas malaysia, chinese food dan yang lainnya.

Still in the Bukit Bintang area, Alor Street Food is a culinary place you must visit! Alor offers an authentic culinary experience with food stalls selling Malaysian, Chinese and other Asian dishes. If you are a Muslim, don't forget to watch out for the non-halal menu. I tried several food options here, such as durian musang king, malaysian noodles, chinese food and others.
